A little about Randi...

The Incredible Randi Boulton, as Canadian rock icon Tom Cochrane calls her, is a powerhouse singer, one whose voice seriously parallels those of her musical motivators: Melissa Etheridge, Janis Joplin, Bonnie Raitt, Jewel, as well as fellow Canadians Jann Arden, Serena Ryder, and Sarah McLachlan, and often finds herself compared to Adele.

While she’s not new to the music industry, Boulton is finally getting the recognition deserving of her 17 years in the business. June, 2014 saw Boulton release her fourth full-length independent album, ‘Randi With An I’ produced by the Juno-award winning Russell Broom. Her albums and live performances have helped her sell out theaters and blaze her own path in the industry. A feat few independent artists ever achieve.

Recently back from Nashville, Tennessee, she wrote a new song with Buddy Owens, who is well known for his song writing, with hits with Gord Bamford, and a platinum song with Blake Shelton. Randi also met with Byron Hill, another accomplished writer, who was recently inducted into the Nashville Song Writers Hall Of Fame, and plans to go back and write with him in 2019.

The talented musician also received recognition in CBC’s Searchlight Contest in 2013 for Canada’s Best New Artist, winning the coveted crown for her home province of Alberta. Randi was also invited to play Toronto's annual Honey Jam Showcase, the same venue where Nelly Furtado and Jully Black began their musical careers. In addition to that recognition, Randi says she’s fortunate to have had numerous opportunities to sing with some of the best in the business: In 2013 she was part of the successful Alberta Flood Aid Benefit Concert at Calgary’s McMahon Stadium. During the four hour concert, she sang with Tom Cochrane and Johnny Reid, for 35,000 screaming fans. Other notable names Randi has shared the stage with include: Dear Rouge, Virginia To Vegas, Shawn Hook, Colin Linden, Mavis Staples, Gord Bamford, Brett Kissel, Jason Blaine, George Canyon, Aaron Pritchett, Ms. Teaze, and many others.

In September 2018, she released her fourth music video for “Anywhere With You”, from her album “Randi With An I”, that was filmed all over Alberta. Fall of 2014 saw Randi’s release her third music video for “Angel”, a song that details her brother's struggle with Multiple Sclerosis. The songwriter took words, originally written as a poem by her father, and composed and crafted a powerful ballad that is striking a chord with many affected by the disease. Another single “Karma”, has been in steady rotation for over a year and half on several radio stations worldwide, and also has a music video.

With a vast and eclectic taste in music, Randi’s genre has been referred to as Americana. Like so many creative spirits, she writes when inspiration hits. But one thing is for sure: Randi’s vocals create whatever sound she desires, whether that be creating a soulful airy sound, or belting it out . Even social media is noticing her talent thanks to getting a nudge on Twitter from fellow Canadian, Jann Arden, who tweeted to her fans:  "Follow this kid...pretty great singer".

“Music is woven into the fabric of my being, and I can’t shut it off,” says Randi. “While my musical journey has been one of self-discovery, I have grown from those challenges to overcome obstacles & live outside my comfort zone. I have learned so much about who I am as a person, because of the opportunities I’ve been given, and have always described music as a friend. It's my one constant in life. And it's the voice of my soul."

Randi Boulton’s world-class, soulful vocals are an experience music lovers won’t soon forget.
